Parent Life Assistant Director

April Barsalou grew up in Anchorage, Alaska and moved to Oregon in 2002 to attend George Fox University up in Newberg, Oregon. In 2004, She married best friend Luke, who she grew up with in Alaska and met in the 3rd grade. April graduated George Fox in 2006 with a degree in Social and Behavioral Studies and was also ready to pop with their first baby. During the next four and a half years they had three more babies to give an even four. Two boys and two girls, they constantly make April and Luke laugh and keep them on their toes. In 2009, they moved to Southern Oregon and fell in love with the area. April has been a volunteer for Parent Life since 2011 and is continually blessed by the families' lives she has been able to be a part of. April is passionate about Jesus, her family, discipleship, and prayer. She also loves going on dates with her husband, having dance parties with her kids, running, camping, playing cards, board games, and peanut butter.
