Gold Hill Area Director

Joshua Loomis has been in the rogue Valley since 2014. He has been in youth Leadership since he was a youth himself and has attended 2 bible schools with a diploma in Practical Ministry. One of his most memorable moments while attending the bible school was when the leaders would spend time with him one on one during hard times and tell me how much then believed in me. Moments like these is what Joshua hopes to give to every student.

Before moving to Medford, Joshua grew up in Roseburg Oregon with his two parents until they got a divorce while he was in high school, it was around that time he would go from friend’s house to friend’s house to get away from the pain soon, after making many bad decisions Joshua was at his darkest moment. In that moment Joshua had a Radical encounter with Jesus in 2009. This experience completely transformed his life and pulled him out of a downward spiral of hate, depression, and complete hopelessness.

Since his conversion, Joshua’s mission in life is to bring the transforming love of Jesus to the younger generation and to raise them up as true Sons and Daughters of God. His conviction is to lead young people to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ! YFCs mission fits right with Joshua’s passion to reach lost youth and see them prosper and see their lives be transformed by Jesus. The thing he loves most about being a part of YFC is that every leader is transparent vulnerable, authentic and real when it comes to truly loving youth.

In Joshua’s free time he loves to hike, run and play team sports; as well as watch movies and read. These things bring lots of rest and freedom. Doing these things brings him great joy and makes for a full life. His top favorite thing to do is to go backpacking (which is camping and hiking) to Joshua this is one of his greatest experiences about life. He is the oldest of 3 brothers , Jacob and Jordan and one of his favorite moments growing up was sneaking out of the house at night and go any adventure they could think of. Joshua has lots of friends and family in the Medford area and enjoys hosting events where people gather and build friendship.
