Administration Assistant

Laurie Heiselman has joined the Youth for Christ team in January, 2018.  She comes after having served 36.5 years with The Salvation Army as a Salvation Army Officer.  She co-pastored, along with her husband of 42 years, five churches before being asked to specialize within the organization as an addictions specialist.  Having served 27 years in this field, Laurie feels called, and is humbled and honored, to serve Rogue Valley Youth for Christ utilizing her administrative, community relations, and counseling skills.

During Laurie’s early teen years, she found herself caught up in the “hippie” culture which lead to a downward spiral.  A very caring Christian family state they saw ‘potential’ in Laurie and asked her to come stay with them for two weeks.  Those two weeks became four years and her life was transformed as she witnessed a completely different way to live life.  She accepted Christ as her Savior during this time as a foster child.  Christ gave her peace and a purpose.  She has never looked back.

Laurie received her Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management/Leadership & Ethics from Nazarene Bible College, an Associate of Arts degree from Azusa Pacific University and is a certified Amen Methods Professional life/nutrition coach through Amen Clinics, Newport Beach, CA.

Laurie is an avid reader, life-long learner, mother of two, grandmother of four, with a passion for brain-health (Health and Wellness).  Her hobbies include interior design, hosting neighborhood/church events, and volunteering at her local church.
