mending broken hearts

Posted on by Martin Corder

Years ago the Bee Gees sang a haunting question: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?

Chris has been in detention, her broken heart in plain view for caring eyes to see. Rather than hide, she reached out asking “…is it possible to ever feel whole?” Mom has been lost in her addiction and dad has been absent until recently when Chris began to reconnect. “It gave me hope…” she said, “…until last Monday when he overdosed on heroin and died.” With him, her hope died too. But… the story doesn’t end there. God’s love, delivered through caring adults on the JJM ministry team, has Chris seeing a new life is possible.

The Holy Spirit is beginning to form new life in Chris. For the first time in her life, she is learning what it means to truly live. Thank you for providing a team of caring adults who are bringing God’s love and mending broken hearts.
